Dr James Kennedy, male

MB, BCh BAO, 1986 University College Cork, National University of Ireland FRCGP, DRCOG, DFP, DImC

Doctor Kennedy joined Wargrave surgery as a practice partner in 2010; his clinical interests include paediatrics, elderly care, men’s health, sports, and musculoskeletal medicine.

Dr Kennedy is currently Joint clinical director of Wokingham North Primary Care Network (WN PCN), and one of the 4 elected members of Berkshire West General Practice Leadership Group (BW GPLG). In his leisure time he is an enthusiastic but slow cyclist, rower and swimmer and a keen rugby supporter.

Dr Claire Ingham, female

Dr Ingham graduated from the Peninsula Medical School in 2011, and following her initial two years of rotations as a junior doctor she spent time on an obstetrics and gynaecology training scheme, worked in emergency medicine, and worked abroad in Malawi. She eventually went on to do GP training in Buckinghamshire.

Doctor Ingham joined the Wargrave Practice in July 2021 and is currently clinical lead for mental health at the practice.

Dr Hext, female

MBChB (University of Birmingham 2010), BSc, MSc, MRCGP , after previously studying human and applied physiology.

Dr Hext joined the practice in 2021 as a partner and has subsequently become a GP trainer. She enjoys the variety and challenge of general practice, but has particular interests in elderly care, lifestyle medicine, and dermatology. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, going on long walks with her Labrador, as well as baking and decorating cakes. 

Dr Martin Seccombe, male

MRCP MRCGP

Dr Seccombe joined the practice in April 2024. He worked at the Royal Berkshire Hospital before several years working in New Zealand and Japan. His interests include cardiovascular and metabolic medicine, nutrition, health promotion and cancer care. Leisure time pursuits: Married with 4 grown up children; enjoys cycling and hill walking and is a member of his local church.

Dr Lettis, female

BMBS (University of Nottingham, 2001), MRCGP, MRCPCH, DRCOG

Dr Lettis joined the surgery in June 2024. She previously worked in paediatrics for 5 years and maintains an interest in child health as well as women’s health and diabetes. Outside of work, she enjoys playing netball, running and yoga. She also enjoys travel and spending time with her family.

Dr Clifford Ayogu, male

GP Qualifications/dates to follow

Dr Clifford Ayogu joined Wargrave Surgery in August 2025 following the completion of the General Practice Training Scheme. He brings a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and has prior experience in paediatrics. Having worked at the surgery over the past year, Dr Ayogu is already well-acquainted with the local community and its healthcare needs, making him a valuable addition to our team.

Outside of medicine, Dr Ayogu enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling the world, and exploring a wide variety of cuisines.

Dr Charlotte Wilson

GP Registrar ST3 Final Year Reg No. 7844610

Dr Wilson joined the practice in August to complete her final year of the General Practice Training Scheme. Before pursuing a career in medicine, she earned a degree in Chemistry. Upon completing her GP training, Dr Wilson plans to specialise in women’s health.

Outside of work, she is a passionate endurance athlete, having competed in several 50K running events this year. She also enjoys international cycling competitions and is an avid trail runner. Dr Wilson shares her love of running with her two dogs, who often accompany her on trail runs.
