Important

Calls between 8am and 9am are for urgent on the day appointments online. For all routine pre-bookable appointments please only phone the surgery after 9am.

The surgery uses a call back service, this enables the patient to hold their position in the queue without the need to remain on the call. You can select this option by pressing 9 and a receptionist will be alerted when it is your turn in the holding queue.

If you require blood tests to be completed that have been requested by a GP or by a hospital, you can now book this via The NHS App directly into the phlebotomy appointments without the need to contact the surgery.

Home visits

If possible please try to phone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit. The duty doctor may well call you to discuss your need for a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Medical students

We help with the important training needs of medical students and nurses and will often involve them in patient consultations. We will however always ask your permission before doing so and will understand if you say no.
