Morning surgery is by appointment, although the first available appointment for each Doctor on duty is kept for on the day walk-ins on a first come first served basis. Please call at 08:00am if you wish to be seen that day.
A standard appointment time is 10 minutes.
All appointments can be booked by telephoning 0118 940 3939
Online appointments are now available please register with the practice.
The surgery uses an automated calling system if you would prefer not to be called in this manner please speak to a receptionist.
If you are visiting one of our branch surgeries it is essential that you telephone the main surgery first in order for your notes to be made available.
If you feel that your problem could be dealt with over the telephone rather than by visiting the surgery please call and leave your details with reception. The doctor will call you back.
Please note that we help with the important training needs of medical students and nurses and will often involve them in patient consultations. We will however always ask your permission before doing so and will understand if you say no.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit. The duty doctor may well call you to discuss your need for a home visit.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
