The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Our secretarial staff will type referral letters and are happy to help with any queries about hospital appointments. If you live over one mile from the nearest pharmacy, our dispensers can dispense your medicine. When you require insurance claims, gun licensing, or need to a copy of your medical records the admin team will be available to facilitate your needs.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.

Prescription clerk

The prescription clerk perform important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records, and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Online service team

This department services all medical queries sent through the Wargrave Surgery website along with online registration applications, online visibility issues, fit note requests, test results, prescription questions, applying patients blood pressure results and asthma reviews to records, arranging travel risk assessments, and booking nurse and doctor’s appointments.
