Introducing our new GP registrar

We are pleased to announce that our new GP registrar, Dr. Clifford Ayogu, will be joining the Wargrave Surgery team starting on the 7th of August, 2024.

Dr. Ayogu is currently an ST3 trainee, indicating he is in his final year of GP training. He will be with us for one year to finalise his GP training. Working full-time, he will be present at the practice every day except Tuesdays, which are reserved for his educational time. Like previous GP’s in training, Clifford is a qualified doctor but not yet a general practitioner. He has accumulated experience in hospital roles and has completed one year of training in a prior GP position. The ST3 year is demanding, involving multiple assessments and exams, and we will provide him with the necessary support.

He will spend the first week or 2 getting to know how the surgery works and will sit in with various members of the team.

Similar to previous trainees, we inform patients during appointment scheduling that they are being booked with a GP in training. Dr Ayogu, is a fully qualified doctor authorised to prescribe medications and capable of handling a wide range of general practice issues. Additionally, he will have a designated supervisor available for support when necessary.

We hope you join us in giving Dr Ayogu a warm welcome through his tenure at Wargrave surgery.
