Changes to patient contact through our Reception Team
From Tuesday 5th May, the way our reception team handles incoming telephone calls and walk in patients will be changing.
When you contact the practice, you will be asked six short triage questions. These questions help us understand your needs and make sure you are directed to the most appropriate care as quickly and safely as possible.
Based on your answers, you may be:
- Offered an on-the-day or future appointment with the most suitable clinician. This could be:
- A GP
- A nurse
- A phlebotomist
- A pharmacist
- Booked into one of our specialist clinics, such as:
- Women’s Health
- Mental Health
- Baby Clinic
- Asthma / COPD Clinic
In some cases, and where appropriate, you may be signposted to other services that can help you more quickly, such as:
- Your local community pharmacy
- Walk-in hospital clinics
- Urgent care centres
- Self-referral services
These changes are designed to improve access, reduce waiting times, and ensure you receive the right care from the right professional.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
